Happy Thanksgiving / Feliz Día de Acción de Gracias

October 8th was Canadian Thanksgiving. We celebrated, not with turkey and cranberry sauce, but with Hershey's Kisses.

El 8 de octubre era el Día de Acción de Gracias . Lo celebramos, no con el pavo y la salsa de arándanos, pero con Hershey's Kisses.

Cómo hacer ticucos / How to make ticucos

Nececitará	You will need
2 lb de maseca	2 lbs corn flour
1 lb de margarina	1 lb butter
1 lb de aceite	1 lb oil
4 sobres de consomé de pollo	4 packets of chicken broth
2 bol. de pimienta y comino	Pepper and cumin to taste
1/2 lb de cebolla	1/2 lb onion
1 mazo de chipilin	1 bundle of chipilin
1 lb de frijoles	1 lb kidney beans
1 rollo de tuzas	1 roll of corn leaves

Antes todo: hervir las frijoles
Before everything: boil the beans
01. Quitar las hojas de chipilin
01. Remove the leaves of the chipilin

02. Cortar la cebolla y el ajo
02. Cut the onion and the garlic

03. Agregar el agua a la harina de maíz para hacer la masa
03. Add water to the cornflour to make dough

04. Derretir la margarina
04. Melt the butter

05. Licuar la cebolla y el ajo
05. Liquify the onion and garlic

06. Agregar el chipilin, la cebolla, el ajo, el aceite, la margarina y el caldo de polla a la masa
06. Add the chipilin, onions, garlic, oil, butter and chicken broth to the dough

07. Agregar los frijoles a la masa
07. Add the beans to the dough

08. Rodar la masa en bolas pequeñas
08. Roll the dough into small balls

09.Envolver las bolas en tuza
09. Wrap the dough balls in the corn leaves

10. Colocar en un lavabo grande, agregar al agua y cocinar por aproximadamente 45 minutos
10. Place in a large basin, add water and cook for approximately 45 minutes

11. Difrutar
